Orbita unveils first upgradeable multi-head Watchwinders

Orbita Corp., the world’s largest producer of watchwinders for manual and automatic watches, has released the first upgradeable multi-head watchwinders. Each unit features full controls and electronics for one to six drive heads.

“These products are designed for the wristwatch collector who wants to add more winder capability to a growing collection without the expense of acquiring another completely new multi-head unit,” says Chuck Agnoff, founder and president of Orbita. “Because these units all utilize the same three-head frame module, you can purchase a larger case for six heads or one for nine heads, and purchase only the frames for your current needs. The system allows you to purchase additional drive head frames as the need arises.”

The American-made watchwinders come in two series-the Siena series ($1195-1555) for two to four drive heads, and the Monaco series, in two sizes ($1395-3695), which can accommodate between two to six drive heads. All models have independently programmable electronics and lockable cases.
