Lunt Silversmiths, a venerable flatware and tableware manufacturer that also produced silver jewelry, filed Chapter 11 in mid-December and is selling its assets.
The company lists assets as $3,327,943.80, and liabilities as $3,322,490.72.
The company is seeking to sell "substantially all assets of the [its] silver and related home and gifts product design, manufacturing and sale operation," it said. Reed and Barton, a Massachusetts company that also manufactures flatware, has been listed as "proposed purchaser."
Lunt is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Rogers Lunt and Bowlen Company that was founded in 1902.
