JFC unveils CD program

Jewelers for Children has partnered with Totally Anonymous Music, Inc. on a program for retailers to raise funds for JFC through a “cause marketing” effort. A series of compilation CDs are now available for retailers to display and sell in their stores, with a significant portion of the proceeds benefiting JFC and its charity partners.

“This project is perfectly suited to the JFC mission of helping Children in Need—and it does so in a way that allows retailers the opportunity to profit from the program while simultaneously contributing significant monies to JFC’s Network of Charities.” said Robin J. Gordon, president of Totally Anonymous Music, Inc.

The first CD, a 2006 Grammy Award winner for Best Musical Children’s Album, is “Songs From the Neighborhood—The Music of Mister Rogers,” available for purchase with a counter display by retail jewelers as a point of purchase add on with a mission of helping children in need. Jewelers sell the CDs to customers while they’re making jewelry purchases. Jewelers may also decide to purchase a supply of the CDs and give them as gifts to customers when purchases are made.

“This program gives our retailers and supporters yet another tool with which to raise money for JFC,” said David Rocha, JFC executive director.

Rocha adds that the program presents a way for jewelers to benefit from the positive public relations and community involvement.

In addition to the current children’s album, a romance compilation will be released in the fall in time for Valentine’s Day.
