Jewelry Information Center Honors Albright at GEM Awards 2010



Jewelry Information Center held its eighth annual GEM Awards gala on Friday, January 8th, honoring Dr. Madeleine K. Albright.

Simon Doonan, creative director of Barneys New York, hosted the event at a new venue, Gotham Hall, in New York City. The evening included National Jeweler’s Retailer Hall of Fame, which inducted Richard Eiseman, Robert Rottenberg and Jon Bridge.

Jewelry Information Center honored Former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright – who was the sole GEM Awards recipient of the evening – with the GEM Award for Style, presented to her by Tina Brown, editor-in-chief of The Daily Beast. Other notable attendees included Lindsay Price from Lipstick Jungle; television personality and stylist Robert Verde; and Russell Simmons.
