Mike Boylson, the former executive vice president and chief
marketing officer of J.C. Penney, has retired from the company, effective July
1.
Bill Gentner, previously senior vice president of marketing
planning and promotions, will serve as interim chief marketing officer while a
search is conducted for Boylson’s replacement.
In June, J.C. Penney
announced that Ron Johnson, former head of the Apple stores, will become its
new CEO.
