The Fashion Group International in New York City announced the 15th Annual Rising Star Award finalists this week. The awards recognize talents in the fashion industry and related fields for their creativity, vision, and notable achievements in design.

In the fine jewelry category, three New York City-based firms were named as finalists: Alexandra Mor of Alexandra Mor; Jenny Klatt and Stephanie Wynne Lalin of Jemma Wynne; and Amaia and Yolanda Torrubia of Torrubia & Torrubia. In the accessories category, Phoebe and Annette Stephens of New York City-based Anndra Neen, profiled in the July 2012 issue of JCK, are in the running, in addition to seven others.

This year’s winners will be named on Jan. 24 at an awards ceremony at Cipriani on 42nd Street, where Ralph Rucci will serve as the keynote speaker and Derek Lam, Saks Fifth Avenue’s Erron Schaefer, Allure’s Linda Wells, and PAPER’s Mickey Boardman will appear as presenters. Plus, the first-ever Karen Harvey Business Innovator Award winner will be also be named. Karen Harvey of the Karen Harvey Consulting Group is one of the sponsors of the Rising Star Awards, along with InStyle and Saks Fifth Avenue.
