This week’s Retail Thursday e-newsletter debuts another new
content section – “Doing Retail Right.” First appearance honors go to Stambaugh
Jewelers for their Facebook posting in honor of Sweetest Day, which is this
Saturday, October 16. For all the talk retailers give Valentine’s Day, they
seem to forget about fall’s answer to the holiday dedicated to lovers. At press
time, Stambaugh Jewelers was the only retail jeweler of the 500-plus jewelry
stores I follow or like on Facebook that gave Sweetest Day even scant
attention.
