Britt’s July 4 Pick: Charming Silver’s Body Chain

What are you up to this Independence Day? I’ll be heading South for a stay in the town I used to call home: Raleigh, N.C. I plan on lazing the days away at my in-laws’ pool, sipping iced cocktails while Carolina’s cool breezes wash over me. Okay, you know this last bit is a fantasy—there are no cool breezes during a Carolina summer (at least, not ones that aren’t accompanied by torrential downpours). In Raleigh, there is most definitely a pool, and days will likely be spent hiking in old T-shirts and boots so terrible, I keep them at my in-laws as an excuse never to wear them at home. But back to the daydream, where time is spent soaking up the sun poolside, wearing this awesome body chain from Charming Silver. This takes the bikini necklace a step further, actually wrapping around the top half of the body, from the torso to the neck. It’s delicate enough to not be cumbersome, and its dangling, bezel-set CZ charms provide just the right amount of sparkle to give it that extra oomph. I imagine you’d want to twirl around in this, just to watch the charms move freely. This would look great with swimwear but also lives to accessorize summer’s breezy dresses, crop tops, or even go over a basic tank, for those not wanting to show too much skin. And actually, forget my fantasy—I’d wear this hiking (and don’t let my complaining fool you, I end up enjoying every minute of it). This would just be the icing on the cake.
