What’s Selling in Stores: Stud Earrings

We asked four retailers across the country to share their best-selling stud-style earrings this week.

Ora Jewelers, Raleigh, N.C. Custom 0.68 ct. t.w. diamond studs with halos in 14k white gold, $2,850. “They’re something every lady can use,” says the store’s administrative manager, Lesa Hocut. “They go with everything!”

Congress Jewelers, Sanibel, Fla. Roberto Coin large diamond cluster earrings, 18k white gold with 0.61 ct. t.w. bezel-set diamonds, $3,800. “The diamonds produce an unbelievable shine,” raves store manager Marybel Benzrihem.

Robertson’s Jewelers, New Milford, Conn. Custom 18k gold emerald and diamond earrings, $1,750. “It’s the Princess Di–type look” that everyone loves, says store owner Brad Tranfield.

deJonghe Original Jewelry, Saratoga Springs, N.Y. Custom 18k white gold earrings featuring 6 ct. t.w. opals, diamonds, and freshwater pearls, $980. “We’re always trying to create different things, even when it comes to studs,” store owner and designer Dennis deJonghe explains. “The boulder opals are a little different. It’s not the typical stud.”
