ROBERT BAUM RECEIVES PATENTS

Robert Baum Corp., New York, has been issued two new patents by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Patent No. 5,979,537 is for a wax replica and soluble core insert used for producing a hollow jewelry ring. This patent covers any configuration of the inside of the ring, including ?J back? (flat inside) and ?comfort fit? (round inside) that is made with a core of 140 degrees or more.

Patent No. 6,032,719 covers any type of insert?ceramic, wax, plastic, and so forth?made for part of the ring or for the entire ring, including components of rings that could be assembled in gold or wax.

Products made using Baum?s patented technology are marketed as Luxury Fit.

EISINGER OPENS MIAMI OFFICE

Eisinger Enterprises of Newark, N.J., a supplier of jewelry manufacturing equipment, tools, and supplies, has opened an office in downtown Miami. The new sales office, the Eisinger Miami Service Center, will be staffed by Ralph Suarez, formerly of Suarez Jewelers Supply.

The sales office and showroom will display casting and finishing equipment and will house products such as Ransom and Randolph casting investments, Castaldo rubber, Busch burrs, and Paramount felt wheels. Jewelers seeking advice on setting up a factory or upgrading equipment can obtain a consultation. Dealers from Central and South America looking to resell Eisinger?s products are welcome.
