NCCJ Takes Boat Cruise to Eliminate Hate in the Hallways

The Greater New York National Conference for Community and Justice and the New Leadership Division of the Jewelry and Watch Industry will host its annual Gala Boat Cruise and Casino Night June 29, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. aboard the Majestic Star. The cruise departs from the Chelsea Piers and sails around the lower half of Manhattan.

More than 200 jewelry-industry professionals will enjoy an evening of music, games, raffles, prizes, cocktails, dancing, and—special this year—Texas Hold ‘Em, the hottest new adventure in poker.

All proceeds from the event will advance NCCJ’s special Hate in the Hallways initiative, designed to provide a variety of forums for youth to address issues of bias, prejudice, and discrimination in their schools.

The NCCJ, founded in New York in 1927, is a human-relations organization dedicated to fighting bias, bigotry, and racism in America. NCCJ promotes understanding and respect among all races, religions, and cultures through advocacy, conflict resolution, and education.
