Manning House Show Focuses on Jade

The Second Annual Manning House Show, to be held at the historic Manning House mansion, Tucson, Ariz., Feb. 4-7, is a collection of artists and lectures. This juried show represents a selection of the best in gem and jewelry arts, sculpture, glass, painting, and photography as well as fine American Indian art and minerals. Artists will be available to discuss their work and inspirations.

This year’s theme, “Around the World in Jade,” features presentations and an exhibit spanning the history of jade up to the present time. The exhibit includes pieces from the lecturers’ personal collections.

Spectrum Best of Show winner Dalan Hargraves (“Spirographic Cut”) and Lapidary Journal‘s first-place Gemmies winner Deborah Meyer (“Pearl Goddess”) join an international group of talented artists representing a full range of fine art.

An awards-night party in the Lavender Ballroom will conclude the show with music by Linda Sandoval and Larry and Stacia Woods. Winners of “The People’s Choice” competition in Jewelry, Gem Art, and Sculpture will be presented here as well.
