Jewelry Line Raises Funds for Cleanup

New Orleans jewelry designer Mignon Faget has created a new collection to raise funds to help clean up the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.  The wildlife-themed designs in Faget’s “In Mourning” line—which include a pelican tie tack and pendant, speckled trout pin on black ribbon, oyster with black pearl, yellowfin tuna pin, and redfish pin and pendant—are actually older pieces boasting new touches like black ribbons, cords, or blackened silver.   Proceeds benefit the Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana. The line is available in Faget’s stores in New Orleans and Baton Rouge and on the website .
