>>?Wal-Mart U.S. CEO William S. Simon has resigned and will be replaced by Greg Foran, who previously headed the company’s Asian operations.

>>?Ashish Deo, a consumer and luxury brand specialist who recently served as commercial director for the Fairtrade Foundation, has been named CEO of the Responsible Jewellery Council.

>>?The National Association of Goldsmiths, which serves British and Irish jewelers, has elected Andrew Hinds, director of U.K. jeweler F. Hinds, its new chairman; Simon Johnson of ­Marmalade Jewellery in Chiswick was elected vice chairman.

>>?Marc Hruschka, president and CEO of Chopard USA since 2006, has left the company. No successor had been named at press time.

>>?Alex and Ani has hired Jayne Fitzpatrick-Conway, who until recently was the top-ranking exec at CIRCA, as chief financial officer. Her background includes leadership roles at Gulf Oil, Dunkin’ Brands, and Planet Fitness.

>>?Sotheby’s has named Daryl Wickstrom international managing director of its worldwide ­jewelry and watch divisions. He had been managing director of the global auction division.

>>?The World Gold Council­ has added Emmy Kondo to its business development team. She was most recently vice president of strategic planning at Forevermark.

>>?Sterling Jewelers announced the retirement of vice ­president of merchandising Dawn McGuire. Succeeding her will be Judy Fisher, who had been merchandising ­divisional vice president overseeing mall and ­outlet channels. Fisher will be replaced by Ellen ­Mackenzie-Nutter.

>>?HSN has appointed Bill Brand president, giving him control of merchandising, programming, and planning. Brand is currently chief marketing and business development officer of parent company HSNi; he will retain the marketing role with this new position.

>>?Zenith has named Aldo Magada its new president and CEO. Magada comes to the LVMH-owned brand from Breitling, where he was international director of sales and business development.

>>?The Antwerp World Diamond Centre board of directors reelected Stéphane Fischler president of the Belgian industry group. Kaushik Mehta was appointed vice president, representing the trade, and Freddy Inzlicht was named vice president, representing the bourses.

>>?Movado Group has appointed Estée Lauder veteran Ricardo Quintero its new president. He succeeds president and chief operating officer Richard J. Coté, who has been promoted to vice chairman and COO.

>>?Worthy, the online luxury retail site, has named Ezzie Schaffran its vice president of operations. Schaffran spent 13 years at Ice.com, most recently as COO.

>>?Belle Étoile has hired Amir Cohen as intermountain director of sales, Brian Callahan as Midwest director of sales, and Gregg Sulkin as Florida director of sales.

>>?Pandora Jewelry has signed a lease to move its American headquarters to Baltimore in the first quarter of 2015. The company will keep its current Columbia, Md., offices for operations.

>>?On July 29 at New York City’s Plaza Hotel, the American Gem Society held its annual Circle of Distinction dinner: Lee Berg, CEO of Lee Michaels Fine Jewelry, was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award; American Gem Trade Association CEO Doug Hucker and Honora CEO Joel Schechter both received ­Triple Zero Awards.
