Hot Diamonds Settles Copyright Infringement Suit

Hot Diamonds recently announced it had settled its copyright infringement lawsuit against Colibri/Krementz. Details of the case are confidential, but Colibri/Krementz has agreed to drop some lines from its Daring Diamonds range. The suit was filed in the Federal District Court in Maine. The Hot Diamonds line of branded sterling silver and diamond jewelry for women and men is distributed in the United States by Prismax Management Services of Camden, Maine. The distinctive Hot Diamonds packaging and marketing approach has proven successful in the United Kingdom, where the brand has achieved 50% name recognition in three and a half years, with annual sales of just under US$20 million.
