Gold: Miseno’s Mediterranean-Inspired Jewelry & More

Armed & Eddie

Costume jewelry designer/fashion editor darling Eddie Borgo recently immortalized his rock ’n’ roll style in karat gold, rather than his usual brass, thanks to a commission by LoveGold (aka the World Gold Council). A pair of 18k gold spike, stud, and block bracelets debuted at the Ultimate Gold Collection Fashion Show at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival. Look for the cuffs in Neiman Marcus’ Holiday Book.

When you live on the Gulf of Naples, inspiration practically comes in tidal waves. Just ask Antonio Cardamuro, the designer behind Miseno, named for its seaside southern Italian locale. The Arco Felice, or Arch of Happiness, serves as the Miseno logo. “Romans believed that once one entered in this area, they were entering a place of happiness,” he explains. Pieces are cast and finished by hand in 18k white, yellow, and rose gold. Popular gemstones recall—no surprise—the colors of the Mediterranean.
