GIA Redesigns Web Site

The Gemological Institute of America (GIA) recently redesigned its Web site (www.gia.edu). New features include a redesigned corporate home page that summarizes the site’s key information; a one-stop information center for the news media covering the gem and jewelry industry; free images of gemstones; and an interactive history timeline of GIA itself.

Visitors to the home page can learn about a featured gemstone or access GIA’s interactive tutorial, “How to Buy a Diamond.” In addition, GIA students can quickly enter GIA’s Virtual Campus via the home page.

The Newsroom link makes gemological information more accessible to consumers and trade media. Features include quick access to media contacts; ready-to-use articles for consumers; news releases; and a press kit. Journalists will have access to free, downloadable print-quality photos of diamonds, colored gemstones, and other images relating to the gem and jewelry industry. The Newsroom also serves as a portal to other GIA information.
