NOVELL TEAMS UP WITH TOP DESIGNERS

Novell Enterprises, New York, N.Y., a leading wedding ring manufacturer, has reached agreement to produce an exclusive line of diamond engagement rings by award-winning designers.

The line – called the Novell Designer Collective – is designed by Whitney Boin, Christie Frantz, Ron Hartgrove, Susan Helmich, Linda Quinn, Paul Robilotti and Mark Schneider. Novell will manufacture and sell the line, which will debut at the JCK International Jewelry Show in Las Vegas in June.

IT’S IN THE BLOOD: ALAN REVERE IS BACK

You can take the designer out of the jewelry manufacturing industry, but you can’t take the industry out of the designer. San Francisco jewelry designer Alan Revere is back in business.

Revere, noted for his award-winning designs as well as his school and his writings on jewelry, ceased production of his popular earring collection one year ago to devote his attention to educational projects (in jewelry, of course).

With several projects completed, he has announced the formation of an alliance with Anne Devero of San Francisco to manufacture and market his designs. The new company, Revere Design, will be introduced at the JCK International Jewelry Show in Las Vegas.

During his sabbatical, Revere completed a series of instructional videotapes and photographed the repair of 60 items of jewelry. But most importantly, the year off enabled him to reflect on the direction of his own work.

Devero currently operates Anne Devero Presents…The Designers from Poland. The three-year-old company has introduced more than 50 jewelry designers from eastern Europe to the U.S. market. “I have known Anne for several years,” he says. “I am impressed with how quickly and effectively she has built her business. With Anne overseeing the manufacture and sales, I will be free to design, a prospect I am very excited about.”
