eBay Searches Get Local

Shoppers searching for a product on eBay will now be told whether they can buy that item at local stores, the company announced March 31.The e-commerce giant’s new “local shopping” tab will check a product’s availability and price at nearby brick-and-mortar retailers. The results are powered by local search engine Milo, which eBay purchased in December. The site, which targets “small entrepreneurs,” currently lists products from approximately 50,000 stores.More information is available at ebay.com/local.
