Buyers Market of American Craft Moves to August

The Buyers Market of American Craft will hold its annual summer show Aug. 6-8, 2004. The 2004 winter show will be held Feb. 13-16, with a jewelry and art-to-wear preview to be held on Feb. 12.

Summer show dates were changed from July to accommodate artists and buyers who travel from city to city to participate in multiple shows in a matter of days. In addition, research showed that many buyers were unable to leave their businesses during July for the three-day show.

The summer show features nearly 800 American artists exhibiting handmade crafts in glass, ceramics, jewelry, fiber, art-to-wear, furniture, wood, metal, and mixed media. More than 5,000 buyers from across the country attend representing department stores, boutiques, museum stores, galleries, small craft stores, and mail-order catalogs.
