I’m just back from another amazing trip to Hong Kong, my first to the “March show” (officially, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council Hong Kong International Jewellery Show), held this year in February due to the early date of the Baselworld fair.
As always, the show was—like Hong Kong itself—vast, crowded, and full of energy. Best of all, the mantra at the show was “America is coming back!” I hope they are correct and the perspective provided by a bit of distance is an accurate one. Again and again, I kept hearing that the JCK Las Vegas show is going to be huge. (From their lips to God’s ears!)
Now that the world comes to Hong Kong, so, too, does JCK’s team of international sales reps, including Mirek Kraczkowski (Europe and South America), Kaushal Shah (India), and Quentin Chan (Asia). It was a blast to run around the show and city with our international “dream team” and hear the world’s perception of our brand, our magazine, our website, and our show.

As a result of recent focus groups and usability studies conducted with retailers and manufacturers, we’ve improved our search function to better reflect how you source products. We’ve also added a robust category menu on the left side of every page to keep users better informed of the myriad category options.

Back here in New York City, our W magazine research and content partnership has kicked into full gear!
