The A&Z Hayward Company, East Providence, R.I., is celebrating its 150th anniversary this year. The manufacturer of 14k gold, gold-filled, and sterling silver jewelry is the union of two jewelry industry pioneers: The Walter E. Hayward Company, which was founded in 1851, joined forces in 1970 with the A&Z Chain Company, founded in 1902.
