Auction Web Site Adds New Feature

AuctionMarketResource.com has added the ability to research a piece of jewelry by the carat weight of its primary stone. The feature enables users to search by jewelry item, type, signature, and era as well as carat weight. Pictures of available rings, complete with auction dates, will appear so that the appraiser can access the appropriate time frame.

AuctionMarketResource.com is an online database containing current auction sales price information and related gemological data on more than 6,000 jewelry items, gemstones, pearls, and diamonds, both colorless and colored. Contents range from Georgian to modern-era pieces and are significantly expanded twice a year. Online visitors can purchase search results, buy current issues of Auction Market Resource: The Book, link to auction houses that participate with Auction Market Resource, and request consultations with publisher Gail Brett Levine, G.G., and Howard Rubin, G.G., senior consultant.

Auction Market Resource for Gems and Jewelry won the International Society of Appraisers’ Lamp of Knowledge Award for 1995. It is published biannually and is available by subscription only ($195 in the United States and Canada, $250 elsewhere).
