Bob DeMaria has joined the staff of Rochester Diamonds Inc. as sales manager. He has 15 years of jewelry sales and management experience.

Charles & Colvard Ltd. has appointed Barbara L. Mooty to the position of vice president, brand development and industry relations. Mooty has more than 25 years of jewelry industry experience, most recently as vice president of marketing for Kristall Classics, a manufacturer of diamond jewelry and special-cut Russian diamonds.

Amy Greenbaum has been selected to lead the Jewelers Vigilance Committee’s marketing and development efforts. Greenbaum, who has more than 20 years of communications, special events, and fundraising experience, will develop marketing and fundraising programs for JVC.

Thaigem.com, an online gem and jewelry supplier, has appointed Simon Bruce-Lockhart, FGA, DGA, E.G., as the new head of its in-house gemological department. Bruce-Lockhart received gemological training at the Gemmological Association of Great Britain and has an advanced European Gemmologist (EG) diploma from the Federation of European Education in Gemmology (FEEG).

Angela Poblador is the new marketing manager for Jewelmer, a pearl producer and fine-jewelry manufacturer headquartered in the Philippines. Poblador fills the position left by Carmina Sanchez, who will be leaving the company.

Jacqueline Grande Raffi has been named interim president of the Boston jewelry firm Shreve, Crump & Low. Raffi, who has been with Shreve, Crump & Low since 1994, most recently held the position of vice president.
