Brook Ellis, vice president of Education for the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), has been re-elected second vice president of the Distance Education and Training Council (DETC) Accrediting Commission. Ellis previously served on DETC’s Board of Trustees. As second vice president, Ellis will review information submitted from applying organizations and evaluate them for accreditation. He also assists in making decisions regarding the development of new standards and the revision of outdated ones for the DETC Accrediting Commission.

Serago Roberts Jewelers, Northfield, N.J., has added Stuart Schupler to its sales team. A third-generation jeweler, Schupler brings more than 20 years of jewelry experience to his new position.

Grimoldi Milano, manufacturers of luxury timepieces, has appointed Barbara Kogan-Bodine managing director. Kogan-Bodine previously was director of International Sales at Gori & Zucchi Inc. and Liz Claiborne.

David Ellis has been named president of the Buxbaum Group, while retaining his title and responsibilities as COO. Company president and CEO Paul Buxbaum will assume the position of chairman and will remain CEO.

Sterling Jewelers has promoted Paul Kronick to vice president of the Jared Division; district managers Bill Mooney, Ann-Marie Patton, and Michelle McFarland-Smith to vice presidents of regional operations; and Anne Clark from manager to director of planning and analysis.

Wolf Designs has appointed Michael R. Havis business development representative for Michigan, Ohio, and Illinois.
