Appointments

  • IceLink Watch has hired Mark Schatten and Wallace Roberts for two newly created positions in its sales and marketing division. Schatten was appointed worldwide director, and Roberts, with 21 years of watch industry experience, was appointed international sales manager. Both most recently worked at Versace Precious Items Division, Schatten as sales director and Roberts as national sales manager.

  • Super Bell Jewelry has appointed Lee Rothman as Western region sales manager. Rothman is a jeweler with 36 years of experience in manufacturing, retailing, and wholesaling. He was formerly the Western region sales director for Stuller Inc.

  • Color Craft has hired Robert Martin as a territory sales manager for the North Carolina/South Carolina/Tennessee area.

  • Bridal designer Michael Zacharakis has joined the design team at Dana Augustine Inc. Zacharakis took first place in the bridal category of the 2005 AGTA Spectrum Awards.

  • Greg Winokur has joined Premier Consulting as vice president of business development. Winokur has 30 years of experience in operations, sales, and marketing management in the fine-jewelry industry, including service as vice president of operations for Sterling Jewelers and chief operating office for Four Points Corp.

  • Sotheby’s has appointed David Bennett chairman of jewelry, Europe and the Middle East, and Lisa Hubbard chairman of jewelry, North and South America. Bennett joined the company in 1974. Hubbard joined Sotheby’s in 1977 and has worked in Los Angeles, Hong Kong, and New York.

  • DeBoulle Diamond and Jewelry has appointed Alan Katz to serve as vice president of operations. Katz has more than 40 years of experience with medium and large jewelry operations, including service with Zales, Bailey Banks & Biddle, and Friedman’s Jewelers.

  • Maureen McAvoy has rejoined Leach & Garner as human resources manager. McAvoy was previously employed by L&G as human resources generalist and was most recently employed at CertainTeed as human resources manager/safety coordinator.

  • Lili Jewelry has announced five additions to its staff. Richard Batting has joined the company as manager of public relations and sales support. He is responsible for oversight of publicity, sales support, and customer service.
    Christina Cox has been named regional director of sales for the Caribbean market. She has 12 years’ experience in the jewelry industry.
    Georgia Cabirac is the new regional director of sales for the Southeast and Southwest regions. She has over 20 years of sales experience working for David Yurman, John Hardy, and M. Fabrikant & Sons among others.
    Jim Gillick is regional director of sales for the Northeast. Gillick has worked forEastern Jewelry Manufacturing, Maurice Lacroix USA, and Masriera, and has been in the industry for over 20 years.
    Jane Stabler has been named regional director of sales. Most recently she was director of national accounts for Honora. She also worked in advertising for 11 years and was involved with the launch of InStyle.
