Jewelry store chain Zale Corp. said on Thursday that its sales at stores open more than a year rose 1.4% in its second quarter ended Jan. 31, Reuters reported.
Total sales were $891 million, compared with $861 million a year earlier, an increase of 3.5%, said the retailer, which operates Zales, Gordon’s Jewelers and Bailey Banks & Biddle Fine Jewelers, Reuters reported.
For the fiscal year to date, sales increased 5.1% to $1.30 billion from $1.23 billion for the same period last year, Reuters reported. On a year-to-date basis, same-store sales increased 0.3% in constant currencies.
