Yvel to Sponsor, Host VIPs, Exhibit Jewelry at Art Miami 2019

Fine jewelry doesn’t typically headline Miami Art Week, which kicks off Tuesday, but that’s about to change: Yvel is serving as the official jeweler and VIP lounge host of Art Miami 2019.

Now celebrating its 30th year, Art Miami will gather more than 170 leading international galleries offering collectors, curators, museum directors, and art world luminaries the chance to acquire investment-quality modern and contemporary works, and in many cases, access to the most sought-after living artists from around the world.

Meanwhile, Yvel is best known for its dramatic pearl jewelry designs and is regularly featured as such in plenty of JCK editorials. The Israeli jeweler favors exotic, organic shapes and colors, the rarer the better, and pairs them with bold, sensually sculpted gold settings, often with gemstones such as cognac, black, and white diamonds.

No stranger to the contemporary art scene, Yvel has exhibited its jewelry at several prestigious fairs in the past including Art Basel Miami, Sydney Contemporary, Art Palm Beach, the Dallas Art Fair, and Art Beijing. This year, it added the International Exposition of Contemporary and Modern Art as well as the Sculpture Objects Functional Art and Design (SOFA) fair, both in Chicago, to that list.

“No one ever said that art should be displayed solely on walls—a beautiful neck, an elegant finger, or a sensual ear could be the perfect place to present an amazing piece of art,” said Yvel cofounder, Isaac Levy, in a statement. “As one of the most recognized international art fairs, Art Miami is the perfect stage for Yvel to showcase its new collection for the coming year.”

“Yvel’s sponsorship is part of Art Miami’s continued dedication to keep the fair experience at international luxury standards,” said Pamela J. Cohen, Art Miami’s vice president of marketing and sponsorships, in a statement. She also alluded to Yvel’s celebrity associations (its jewels have been worn by Scarlett Johansson, Katy Perry, Rihanna, and Isla Fisher, among others) in the same statement.

Highlights from Yvel’s 2020 collection and its ongoing “Art to Wear” series will be on view in the VIP lounge at Art Miami 2019 Dec. 3–8.
