A watch brand embraces e-commerce
Yoox Net-a-Porter will soon sell IWC Schaffhausen watches retailing for as much as $120,000, according to a report in Bloomberg.
Switzerland’s Richemont owns Swiss watchmaker IWC as well as a stake in Net-a-Porter.
“Watch brands are becoming more open to the idea of e-commerce,” the online retailer’s CEO Federico Marchetti told the news agency, hinting that more watch brands will follow IWC’s lead.
