Always dependable for fresh-colored gemstone jewels, Yael Designs has knocked it out of the park yet again with its latest offerings. The designer brand dazzles with shades of orange, green, and blue, dressing up emeralds and fire opals as it has been known to do exceedingly well. These are some of the newest jewels that your customers are undoubtedly going to go gaga for, just in time for the holidays.
If orange really is the new black, Yael‘s got style in spades. From the blazing color of the fire opal to the demure, pinkish-orange pastel of morganite, silky yellow and rose gold wraps each stone. My favorite of the bunch showcases what is quintesentially fall: Dubbed the Rococo pendant (above), an oval-shape opal in an autumnal shade of orange is held in a golden frame of filigree and diamonds, with vintage flair and a hexagonal shape. I just can’t get enough of it. It’s like Thanksgiving in a necklace, really.
Another remarkable standout, and not just because it’s the only blue piece of the new arrivals, is the Dragon ring (above). With its claw-like prongs taking hold of the center stone, you can see why. The setting appears as branch-like lines of diamonds, making it just the right fit for late fall and winter. It’s icy to me, but also kind of Game of Thrones-ish. Winter really is coming, you know.
Then, of course, there are the emeralds, with which the brand so obviously takes care in setting, with signature two-tone looks featuring accents such as filigree, milgrain, and diamonds. The rose-cut slices elegantly set in the designs above are somehow both very modern and instantly classic.
Closing with yet another of my favorite pieces (you didn’t expect me to just pick one, did you?), are the Blaze earrings, above, a colorful mix of white and fire opal, paired with moonstone teardrops, and the three tiers are bordered in red spessartite accents. The colorful pair is perfect anytime, but again it’s that rich orange that makes these so ready for fall.
