Some 80 years in the making, a necklace from Oscar Heyman features gemstones dating to the 1930s. During Centurion
Jewelry, Adam Heyman told JCK that the
necklace, comprising more than 400 carats of gemstones in 18k gold and
platinum, has been “a symphony in the making” for the family for eight decades.
The piece retails for $440,000 and features: 3.76 cts. t.w.
Calf-head-shaped sapphires; 7.44 cts. t.w. Calf-head-shaped purple sapphire;
7.81 cts. t.w. emerald-cut sapphire; 192.06 cts. t.w. kite-shaped yellow
sapphires; 9.77 cts. t..w. Calf-head-shaped yellow sapphires; 90.08 cts. t.w.
kite-shaped sapphires; 12.08 cts. t.w. round-cut rubies; 28.98 cts. t.w.
kite-shaped purple sapphires; 53.80 cts. t.w. square-shaped sapphires; 13.44
marquise-cut diamonds; and 8.21 cts. t.w. round-cut diamonds.
