WJA Taps Speakers From Boston Consulting Group and BrightHouse for Its 2020 Awards

The Women’s Jewelry Association (WJA) has tapped two dynamic keynote speakers for its online 2020 Awards for Excellence who plan to focus on business transformation, managing change, and “purpose” in the tumultuous COVID-19 era.

Jim Hemerling, a senior partner, managing director, and fellow at Boston Consulting Group, and Dolly Meese, global head of offerings and managing director of creative consultancy BrightHouse, “will explain how businesses can move confidently into a future that’s rapidly evolving,” WJA executive director Jennifer Markas said in a prepared statement.

Hemerling focuses on transforming organizations and has more than 25 years of experience as a senior adviser. According to the WJA release, he focuses on “going beyond short-term results to bring holistic, sustainable performance to organizations.”

Meese helps organizations “uncover their purpose and then translate it into growth of people, profits, and social impact,” according to the statement. She’s worked with Fortune 500 companies around the globe and is an engineer by education. She’s also the coauthor, with Hemerling and others, of “Purpose with the Power to Transform Your Organization” and contributed to a paper entitled “The Rewards of an Engaged Female Workforce.”

WJA will also make available two additional sessions after its virtual event on the timely topics of diversity and mentorship.

The diversity conversation “will center around how businesses can improve the outcomes for people of color by leading with purpose and understanding the economic and professional barriers to entry,” according to the release. While in the mentorship session, WJA will outline its mentorship opportunities—and explore what goes in to building good mentor relationships.

The Natural Diamond Council is the awards event’s Leadership sponsor, Forevermark is the Empowerment sponsor,  Jewelers of America is WJA’s Mentorship sponsor, and Citizen and Boston Consulting Group are the event’s Transformation sponsors.

The virtual event is scheduled for July 27 at 7 p.m. ET. Register for the event here. To become a sponsor, contact WJA executive director Jennifer Markas at jennifer@womensjewelryassociation.com.
