The Women’s Jewelry Association’s Metropolitan Chapter has partnered with W magazine to host its annual Spring Fling cocktail networking event on May 15 at Condé Nast headquarters in New York City.
This year’s theme, “Behind the Scenes,” will feature a panel of industry leaders including Michele Ateyeh, owner/principal of Angela Cummings Designs; Colleen Caslin, COO of Verdura; Lou Iacovelli, president of Atelier Creative Services; Jodi Kaplan, vice president of divisional merchandise and manager of jewelry at Bergdorf Goodman; and Amy Rosi, president of Aros Communications.
W fashion market and accessories director Karla Martinez de Salas will moderate the panel. Topics covered will include successful business strategies, the collaboration between creative and manufacturing sectors, introducing and reinventing a brand, and who’s buying what at the jewelry counter.
“We’re delighted to partner for the first time with W and to offer our members this extraordinary networking and educational opportunity,” Desiree Hanson, WJA Metro president, said in a statement. “It’s rare to have this level of luxury brand experts together in one room; we anticipate a very lively and informative discussion. In addition to W and our panelists, we are very grateful for the support of our chapter sponsors, Carrera Casting, Circa, and RSP Media.”
