WJA’s Metro Chapter and Marie Claire magazine will host a networking Spring Fling event from 6-8 p.m. on May 12th, 2010 at the famed Hearst Tower in New York City.

The event, open to anyone in the industry, offers a opportunity to mix and mingle with Marie Claire’s editorial staff, including some of the most elite fashion authorities in the business. Among them will be Marie Claire editor-in-chief Joanna Coles and fashion director Nina Garcia.

Coles, who has been Editor-in-chief of the U.S. edition of Marie Claire, since April 2006, will lead a conversation during the event with an industry VIP to be announced. Garcia is known worldwide as the unerring, formidable fashion judge on the Peabody Award-winning hit show Project Runway. She is also a New York Times bestselling author of three books on style.

In addition to a presentation, which includes a Q&A, guests will enjoy cocktails, light hors d’oeuvres, and spectacular views of Central Park and New York City’s skyline from the Hearst Tower’s 44th executive floor.
