The Women’s Jewelry Association will host its third annual Jewelry Night Out on Thursday, Sept. 10 across 19 U.S. cities.
JNO aims to serve as an upscale nationwide membership drive, attracting new and existing members with reduced membership fees—$99 for new members and $135 for renewing members (instead of $160)—at events on that one night only.
“Jewelry Night Out is our premiere national networking event,” says WJA president Andrea Hansen. “It provides a stellar chance for WJA members all over the country to meet up, and also link to each other online via social networks.”
Cities hosting JNO events include: Atlanta; Bethesda, Md.; Birmingham, Ala.; Boston; Chicago; Dallas; Denver; Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; Cincinnati; Las Vegas; Los Angeles; Madison, Wis.; Minneapolis; Nashville, Tenn.; New York City; Providence, R.I.; San Diego; San Francisco; and Seattle. Check wjajewelrynightout.com for exact locations and start times and to register to attend.
While all city events differ depending on chapter size and turnout, a unifier for all is the WJA BlingCam—a miniature photo set where attendees can show off rings and bracelets for social media snaps. (National provided each chapter with tiny identical stages and props.) WJA encourages attendees to use the hashtag #WJANightOut for social media photo ops to connect chapters in cyber space.
Lead sponsors for JNO are Kay Jewelers and Jared The Galleria of Jewelry, both members of the Signet Group; in-kind sponsors include JCK and InStore magazines, as well as Di Vision Creative Group.
Meanwhile, the New York Metro chapter in New York City is hosting Leonard Lauren of Ralph Lauren at the Midtown Loft & Terrace from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Lauren will provide “Lessons in Lifestyle Branding” while guests sample custom cocktails and hors d’oeuvres; attendees will also receive fashion-forward Le Vian gift bags containing items from designers such as Fred Leighton, Ray Griffiths, and more. Event sponsors inlcude Jewelers of America and JIS and JCK LUXURY Miami.
