The winners of the Women’s Jewelry Association’s 12th Annual DIVA Awards design competition will be announced at a press conference May 30 in the Platinum Pavilion (Booth #300) at JCK Las Vegas.
For the second year in a row, the Platinum Guild International is sponsoring the competition. This year’s theme, “The Platinum Wedding,” will feature five categories, including one for natural colored diamonds set in platinum, sponsored by the Natural Color Diamond Association. PGI is a WJA “Pillar of Distinction” sponsor.
A celebratory cocktail party for WJA members, non-members and the winners will take place June 2, at TAO in the Venetian from 6-8p.m. Members and industry tastemakers will enjoy cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and a raffle.
“PGI is thrilled to be the top sponsor once again since this contest celebrates talented women in the industry. This year’s competition is even more exciting as we have expanded the contest categories, allowing for a greater amount of creativity,” said Michael O’Connor, PGI senior vice president.
Several of the winning rings will be manufactured by Lieberfarb Inc. and Mercury Ring Corp. and will be on displayed at the press conference.
