In this age of cellphones, unless you’re a man with a massive watch collection, any watch you wear is pretty much meant to be a fashion statement. Now, I’m not saying watches have lost their purpose. There’s nothing better than a great watch that keeps perfect time, and all it takes is a glance at the wrist to know what time it is. That’s much easier and more convenient than, say, digging around in your purse for your iPhone. What I’m saying is that watches aren’t simply for function anymore. They’re an accessory, the finishing touch to that stunning outfit you’re wearing. (You’re looking fabulous, by the way.) If you’re anything like me, you like your watches oversize and eye-catching. But this summer, there’s a new watch in town: the ceramic. Ceramic watches are growing in popularity (particularly in white), and it’s easy to see why. They’re fun, fashionable, and, yes, functional. Check out this selection of ceramic watches I found on JCK Marketplace.
Roberto Bianci’s Bella watch features a striking combination of stone ceramic and rose gold plating. The watch features a Japanese movement with date, a sapphire crystal, and a classic dial accented with sparkling cubic zirconia.
Skagen’s sleek ceramic watch has a minimalist look, with a clean white dial and Swarovski crystal indicators. The watch features a Japanese quartz movement and mineral crystal.
Glam Rock makes one for the boys (though women could definitely rock it) with this black ceramic men’s watch, accented with rose gold stainless steel and black enamel. The piece features a Swiss quartz movement and mineral sapphire crystal.
Petite and colorful, Oniss’ ceramic watch is a subtle accent that would fit nicely in a group of stacked bracelets for a real style statement. The yellow piece features a Swiss movement and sapphire crystal.
Jowissa’s Venus watch has a white ceramic bracelet, ceramic case, and scratchproof sapphire crystal. The mother-of-pearl dial adds a luminescent touch to the simple yet effective look.
Let’s not forget the kids! How adorable is this LEGO Star Wars watch, featuring the villainous Darth Vader and a black and red LEGO-style band? Let’s all hear a collective Awww!
