Anna Bingemann came to the aid of another jewelry brand last year, but this year she’ll work her magic on Whiting & Davis, located in North Attleboro, Mass. The 136-year-old jewelry manufacturer enlisted Bingemann to help design bracelets, necklaces, and earrings that incorporate its iconic mesh look into new Linked and Classics collections.
According to a release, Bingemann was particularly drawn to the firm’s historical jewelry archives, including pieces from the 1920s. Her designs aim to give a modern interpretation of the company’s long tradition of manufacturing mesh, though it doesn’t only make mesh jewelry: Whiting & Davis even has safety, handbag, and architectural décor divisions.
The jewelry will debut at Couture 2012.
