What’s Selling in Stores This Week: Right-Hand Rings

We asked four retailers across the country to share their best-selling right-hand ring of the week:

Redfern Jewelers, St. Simons Island, Ga. Dao Fournier sterling silver and onyx ring with white diamonds, $1,475. “It’s the bold look that’s selling!” says store gemologist, Kimberly Gibson. “Dao Fournier has some great pieces with single, large stones accented with diamonds or different color sapphires.”

Murphy’s Jewelers, Hamburg, Pa. Gabriel & Co. 14k white gold stackable ladies ring, $815. “Men find it easy to get a small band for the ladies — and then keep adding to them until she has three or four bands,” explains the store’s marketing manager, Chelsea Walsh.

Anderson Jewelers, East Hartford, Conn. Mercury Ring Corp. 14kt gold band with fancy yellow diamonds, $1,894. “Mercury rings are almost like a wedding line. They’re a showpiece for the right hand,” says store president and owner David Cowell.

Aronstam Fine Jewelers, Indianapolis. Alex Sepkus 18k gold-and-diamond band, $4,320. “Stackables are selling,” raves store manager and buyer Donna Carlberg. “People start out with a diamond band and then build on to it. We show them how they can stack five rings for a different look.”
