SOUTH
Holland’s Jewelry, San Angelo, Texas. A. Jaffe, .38 ct, pave engagement ring; $3,480 (excluding center diamond) “Diamonds sell more than anything,” says sales associate Molly Burns. “Everyone is proposing right now.”
CENTRAL
Peter & Co. Jewelers, Avon Lake, Ohio. Makur morganite rose gold jewelry with white diamond accents; starting at $1,500. “It makes for a very pretty, very feminine look with a nice, light, summery appeal,” says owner Theresia Oreskovic.
EAST
Gary Michaels Fine Jewelry, Manalapan, N.J. Verragio Venetian pave halo diamond engagement ring in 14k white gold, with .35 ct. pave-set round diamonds; $3,300. “Diamonds are always popping left and right. Diamond pendants, diamond earrings, diamond-diamonds!” enthused store co-owner Michael Littman. “Anything with a halo or double window is very strong.”
WEST
Biondi Jewelers, Aurora, Colo. Simon G. tourmaline ring, $16,000-$18,000. “Tourmalines have been really hot this season,” says the store’s co-owner Michelle Smestad. “If color fashion is selling, it speaks to how much better the economy is getting.”
