We asked four retailers located in four corners of the country to share their top-selling colored stone pieces this week.

Diamond and ruby necklaces, $3,000–$15,000. “Primarily, our clients are of Indian culture, and they don’t believe everyone can wear sapphires, but they definitely think everyone can wear rubies,” says Krutika Pranav, vice president of sales, marketing, and purchasing.

EAST

Van Scoy Jewelers, Wyomissing, Pa. Custom ruby ring with diamonds mounted in gold, $1,500. “A lot of our customers buy a loose gem and a mount, because it’s not going to cost them as much as buying a designer ring, depending on how elaborate you want it,” says store manager Caroline Hill.
