What’s Selling In Stores: Men’s Wedding Bands

We asked four retailers across the country to share their best-selling men’s wedding bands of the week:

South

Newton’s Jewelers, Fort Smith, Ark. ArtCarved 8.5 mm wide 14k white gold engraved comfort fit, $850. “A lot of men are getting the same metals as their wives are getting on their wedding bands,” says owner Kelly Newton. “And we’re not selling much of the simpler wedding bands.”

East

Edward Arthur Jewelers, Columbia, Md. ArtCarved 7mm wide wedding band with detailed engraved 14k white gold, $990. “Beveled edges are up by 20 percent in sales this month,” says co-owner Kyle Brooks. “They have a masculine design so guys don’t feel like they’re wearing jewelry.”

Central

Kelley Jewelers, Oklahoma City, Okla. Fable Designs tungsten 8mm wide with sandblast finish, $295. “Alternative metals are selling best right now, especially because this generation of people getting married likes dark metals,” says store merchandiser Genevieve Lisle.

North

Zorell’s Jewelry, Bismark, N.D. A. Jaffe 14k white gold satin finished center and milgrain design 6.5mm wide, $3,085. “These rings have a rough look, a very non-shiny manly finish,” say owner Tim Ell. “The customers see a lot of mirrored finish so when they come to our store they like the satin finish style.”
