What’s Selling in Stores: Engagement Rings

We asked retailers across the country to share their best-selling engagement rings this week.

Seng Jewelers, Louisville, Ky. Solitaire diamond ring set in rose gold (pictured: 14k rose gold custom design featuring double-sided pavé set diamonds from Pavé Jewelers), $1,500–$25,000.

“I think young ladies are really moving into the rose gold avenue,” says store partner Scott Davis. “It’s something different and a little vintage in style.”

Wright Jewelers, Chattanooga, Tenn. Solitaire diamond ring styles (pictured: private label ring with 1 ct. diamond, $2,499).

“Solitaires are a staple,” says store goldsmith Mark Lind. “Half of the ones we sell are set in yellow gold and the other half in white gold.”

Berning’s Fine Jewelry, Tempe, Ariz.  Mark Schneider rings (pictured: 14k gold Starlight ring with 61 diamonds, totaling 0.44 cts., $4,105).

“They’re all so unique,” says owner Patricia Berning.

Carroll’s Jewelers, Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Mark Schneider Bedazzled 14k gold ring with 45 diamonds (0.665 cts. t.w.), $5,827.

“Mark Schneider’s collection is different than anyone else’s,” says store certified gemologist appraiser Robert Moorman.
