Westime Is Now the Official Timekeeper of the Los Angeles Clippers

The SoCal watch retailer debuted courtside billboards at the Staples Center

Westime, the multi-brand watch retailer based in Los Angeles, now has courtside presence at NBA games. The company announced a partnership with the Los Angeles Clippers—and Swiss watchmaker Breitling—that makes the retailer the first-ever official timekeeper for the Clippers organization.

Westime’s new deal with the L.A. Clippers includes courtside signage for Breitling and Westime.

The multiyear partnership, which kicks off this season, includes Westime and Breitling logos on courtside digital signs and LED displays around the Staples Center. The most clever of the bunch: a huge courtside banner that reads “Crunch Time—Breitling Available at Westime.”

Breitling imagery is also displayed during each game’s Countdown to Tip-off, and Westime branding pops up when the shot clock reaches five seconds. Westime and Breitling mentions and/or imagery will also be incorporated into radio broadcasts, on Clippers.com, and on the team’s social media channels.

“We love our sports teams in L.A., and sports-minded people love Breitling watches,” Greg Simonian, president of Westime, told JCK. “When it comes to exciting teams in the NBA, it’s really hard to top the Clippers. New ownership, a winning record, and players like Chris Paul and Blake Griffin, who do so much for the community, all make the Clippers a team that anyone in Los Angeles can be proud to support.”

Thierry Prissert, president of Breitling USA, said in a statement, “By supporting the Clippers, one of the sports world’s most ascendant franchises, Breitling and Westime are sharing their passion for precision, success, and achievement with a team that displays those same values during every game.”
