Wesley Tucker is leaving his role as CEO of De Beers’ tracking platform Tracr by the end of February 2026, the company said in a statement.
No successor was named, but De Beers said an announcement will be made “in due course.”
Tucker joined De Beers in April 2021, as head of digital transformation, and took over the Tracr team the next month. He was named Tracr’s CEO in June 2023.
During his tenure, Tucker helped transform Tracr into one of the industry’s leading digital traceability platforms, tracking more than 4 million diamonds, according to the company statement. He also forged strategic partnerships with GIA and Sarine Technologies.
“With Tracr now past its formative stage and accelerating into its scaling phase, this is a natural point for Wes to step back after very successfully guiding the platform through its foundational journey,” Paul Rowley, De Beers’ executive vice president of diamond trading, said in the statement.
