Wendi M. Mayerson is rejoining American Gemological Laboratories, the lab announced.
Mayerson has more than 25 years of jewelry experience. A graduate gemologist, she taught the resident GG program for Gemological Institute of America and managed the gemology department, staff, and curriculum on the California campus. She eventually became a senior staff gemologist in the research and identification department of the GIA laboratory in New York City.
In 2007, she joined AGL but left in 2009 to become director of the New York City office of Patrizzi & Co., a high-end watch and clock auction house. She also worked as a stone buyer for designer Judith Ripka and online retailer Gemvara.
“I am absolutely thrilled to back at AGL doing what I love the most,” Mayerson said in a statement.Follow JCK on Instagram: @jckmagazine
