Leon Weiss, founder of retailer Weiss Jewelry in Los Angeles, died on March 16 at the age of 90.
A Holocaust survivor, Weiss established 35 jewelry and watch boutiques in Germany before emigrating to the United States in 1982.
“He loved life,” says longtime friend Joseph Tabaroki, owner of Gold Town Jewelry, a wholesaler. “He was extremely honest. Every time I worked with him, I learned something.”
Weiss is survived by his wife Miriam and son Daniel.
