The new e-commerce business-to-business watch Web site, The Watch Dealers Network (www.TheWDN.com), is following its strong April 22 launch where Avi E. Soffer, managing partner, said he had “hundreds of members pre register” by making its presence known during the upcoming Las Vegas jewelry shows.

At the JCK Show ~ Las Vegas 2007, The Watch Dealers Network will be hosting a drawing for a Cartier watch and a laptop computer to jewelry retailers and other interested persons who come to its booth (30103) to learn more about the online network designed to provide watch dealers and retailers a safe, secure place to do business.

In addition, The Watch Dealers Network will be hosting a cocktail reception following the International Watch & Jewelry Guild show for those interested in joining the online network. The reception will be held May 28 at the Gold Coast Hotel Showroom. The two-hour event begins 5:15 p.m.

The IWJG and Soffer are partners on this new Web site, which allows watch dealers and retailers a place online to buy and sell vintage and new watches within a closed international network. Only qualified persons in the trade will be able to access the site.

The site will include real time interactive buying and selling channels, a 9,000-watch reference database, SMS text for cell phone contact, dealer profiles with references, escrow services, and live industry news. In addition, those in the network will have access to a calculator from U.S Customs and FED EX that will assist importers and exporters in figuring their duty rates prior to shipping.
