As vaccines tamp down the spread of COVID-19, trade shows the world over are opening up, albeit with a measure of caution. To that end, Italian Exhibition Group, operator of the VicenzaOro gold trade show slated for Sept. 10 through Sept. 14, in Vicenza, Italy, is implementing some measures to reassure exhibitors and attendees alike that the show will be safe.
First, attendees and exhibitors will be required to have a “Green Pass,” a document that proves they have been vaccinated against COVID-19. “The aim,” Corrado Peraboni, CEO of IEG, explained in a statement, “is to guarantee our exhibitors/visitors with COVID-free halls, a place where the only thing those inside need to worry about is doing business. The request for this measure has come loud and clear from the companies, particularly the multinationals, that want to be able to guarantee maximum safety for their collaborators who will be attending the shows once they open in September. It is no coincidence that the Green Pass is foreseen as a requirement by the vast majority of European trade show organizers.”
The show has also implemented the Safe Travel program, which it created in conjunction with Studio Arletti & Partners. Attendees can fill out a simple form, available on the show’s website, that states their place of departure; international connection locations, if any; and place of arrival. In return, Safe Travel will provide information on regulations and compliances that international visitors and exhibitors need to abide by in order to enter Italy, including guidance from AUSL, the Italian Health Service. The program will also provide medical-assistance contact numbers.
The Safe Travel system will be updated daily with any changes in regulations. If customers need further assistance, IEG, together with Studio Arletti, will be able to provide customized services.
