Show organizer Fiera di Vicenza has announced changes to its 2017 calendar of events. Kicking off the year, as usual, will be VicenzaOro January, Jan. 20–25. The other stand-alone fair, VicenzaOro September, runs Sept. 23–27 (an overlap with Milan Fashion Week, Sept. 20–27). It is later in the month due to current business trends and “increased activity at the end of the tourist season,” says the organizer. VicenzaOro Dubai takes place Nov. 15–18—a change from its regularly scheduled April dates—in an effort to “support November–March high season sales in the Middle East,” adds the show. Fiera di Vicenza is also in the planning stages of adding another fair that would happen in late spring and would highlight Made in Italy brands.
